One star for terrible customer service
I emailed customer support with a question and “Kim” replied, "Why would you purchase a completely different version and edition of Disk Drill after you completed a scan? The sessions in Disk Drill 2 and Disk Drill Media Recovery are not compatible. ….”
Not only did this have nothing to do with my problem at hand, it was , by far, the worst reply to a customer service request I have ever gotten.
According to their own site, Disk Drill basic is designed to scan and see if their is a chance of recovering what ever happens to be lost on a drive. So, I downloaded basic from their sight and allowed that program to scan. After seeing my files and being able to preview them, I then download Disk Drill Media recovery from the mac app store to do the actual recovery. Since the “recovery” button was greyed out, I wasnt sure if it needed to scan again, a process that took 24 hours the first time (lots of photos) So I emailed support to see if I could just start the recovery. I was then sent that reply.
