Disk Drill Media Recovery App Reviews

I was skeptical of this tool at first, but it worked and saved my lost files back!! I keep my files in a Dropbox folder and sync with multiple PCs. I mistakenly thought the files were safe as they exist at multiple locations in case they were lost, but I was WRONG. Dropbox is not a backup tool, it is a sync tool. When one file is deleted from one location, it will be deleted from other locations as well. When I found my important files were gone (I still do not know why this happened) from one of the folders in the Dropbox folder, I was very shocked and almost gave up restoring the lost files. Luckily I found this Disk Drill, and it really worked and brought my lost files back. Thanks a lot!

I recently used this software to recover data off of a FAT32 volume on an external hard drive. It recognized the drive, and allowed me to sucessfully recover the data! Good stuff!

I lost a large amount of photos and video files that were very important to me; family memories and such. I tried a couple of free applications to no avail. Although the Disk Drill search for files took a couple of hours, the recovery worked great and was well worth the money spent! It was clear, concise and easy to use. Thank you so much!

Recovers nothing. I first tried demo version of EaseUS Data and that FOUND all of the files I wanted to recover. Problem is they wanted $130 to get full version to actually recover them. Bought Disk Drill Media Recovery for $20 and it couldn’t even see the files that the other program could see, forget about actually recovering anything. Total waste of money. Refund me.

This app saved my bacon! Very easy to use and intuitive. A bargain for what it accomplishes!

I like that it supports both internal and external dirves formatted HFS, Fat32, NTFS and EXT formats. Also, the concept of creating an image that DD Media Recovery will work on vs. directly working on the drive, although it takes a little more time and effort, is a bonus in my book. I can keep the images for archives in addition to recovering files. A great app to add to my list of tools!

All I can say.. Its good be be true but not working to me and a waste of time and money,, i need my money back!

you pay 19,99 for the app, but in order to actually recover your pictures you deleted from he trash on a macbook pro. You must pay 89.99 for the Pro version. I want my money back. The app is a rip off. I realy needed to recover these important pictures.

I had a disk out of a JBOD array fail, and a local data recovery service could not recover the files. The array would not even mount in MacOS or Windows. They suggested that the data was irretrievable. I decided to give Disk Drill Media Recovery a shot, and I was beyond shocked to see that not only did it recognize the array, but it located almost all of my “lost” files! I was able to preview and recover hundreds of thousands of photos, videos, and voice memos covering over 10 years of family history! Thanks so much for your awesome software!

Somehow, I recently had my external hard drive, which had all of my Time Machine Backups and a good chunk of important files, wiped. I might not have been able to salvage the Time Machine Backups per se, but I was at least able to restore some of the files that were already on my external hard drive with Disk Drill, which is so far, so good! Now its just the long process of reconstructing those files and putting my archives back together! I was surprised that Disk Drill has this tech, which in more professional hands gets very expensive, to recover data from drives. It really gives me a good piece of mind the next time something catastrophic were to happen with any drive that I own!

i been looking for a good media recovery software but this just takes the cake. its easy to use, reliable and worth the price…. i could not be more happy to see and recovered pictures and videos that are so valuable to me.

I was nervous getting this app. Over 20 years of IT engineering, retired now. I run prodution at a TV station. A series of GoPro and BMPCC-4K cards/drives accedentally had all files moved to Trash, then Trash emptied, thinking they’d been ingested into FCPX alreay. Discovered them all off line. Discovered Import setting was set to “Leave Files In Place”. NNNNOOOO!!!! Got this, doubtful we’d have any success. But… EVER SINGLE FILE RECOVERED! We are very impressed, and will keep this as a permanent part of our post-prodution tool kit.

I lost a whole folder. Poof, gone. I went into Time Machine and it had skipped an entire directory of my work (Thanks a lot apple). While this only recovered one file, I can rebuild my other work off of this one file. Was worth it for me.

Good Software for recovering mac files from a corrupt partition. I’m thinking I will be able to recover everything for my client. They have a Microsoft one too from the website, I’m hoping it works just as well. Thanks

after searching all over for a way to resurrect my iMac hard drive, with our baby photos on it, I found this software and it did exactly what I needed! So thankful for this affordable tool! Quick, easy to understand, a few clicks and boom- we have pix!

I was in a situation where things were looking bleak. I took my sd card to a professional data recovery place locally and they told me there was nothing they could do. I am a photographer and had shot hundreds of photos for an event and of course my backup failed.. Then my sd card became compromised. I was terrified that there was going to be nothing i was able to do and the files were lost and gone forever. Luckily I found this program (after many tears and hours of searching.) It was able to find the files I so desperately needed. I am so pleased with the interface as well it is beautifully designed and completely user friendly. I can not completely express how thankful I am for this. It saved me in a terrifying moment.

I was looking for a tool to aid my recovery of a few hard drives, my own and one for my boss. This program does a great job of separating files out by file type, and has a useful feature for saving the progress of your recovery session. It will prove valuable in recovering information from Mac computers.

I accidently erase my whole sd card losing all my pictures and i recover them all with his app!!

I work in film production and have terabytes of media I’m constantly managing. Over the years I’ve had a few mishaps and have had mixed results with recovery. Then the other day I installed 2 new hard drives and spent hours setting things up, managing media, continuing to the point that I was bleary eyed, and just should have gone to bed, and continued in the morning. But I did not, and I accidently formated the wrong drive. After trying a few other recovery programs unsuccessfully, I came across Disk Drill Media Recovery, and it appears I’ve recovered most if not all that I lost. I am completely relieved, and now plan on going thru old drives I thought were beyond help, to see if I can recover more lost data.
