But its not their fault!... What a load of crap. I dont care why it doesnt work. I paid good money for this program and now it doesnt work. Had to spend $75 on another recovery program because I was in a bind. I hope this developer goes under.

What is the point. $60 to scan for deleted or lost files? Macs spotlight does nost of this. This cost more thamn the whole OS. I wouls like my money back. This company is a waste of money. I read that review by Topsel thinkng this would allow me to recover a partition. Obviously someone from this company is wriing reviews for thier own product and got confused what crap theyre trying to feed up. This will not recover partitions. This will only scan a mountable disk looking for files where the location has been lost in it table of contents. There are free programs that do this. Im choked. Dont buy this and dont ever trust this company. Shame on apple for allow this crap in the app store. This company andf all its products should be removed.

Not Impressed with "Diskdrill" OR the "AppStore" Diskdrill does Not Work with the latest Mountain Lion. You will find this under "more" in the description if you read the "fine print" after the paragraphs that brag about how it works with everything. I missed it. AppStore Reliability? Apple told me they sell third party applications and cant recommend an App that will work with Mountain Lion. Just keep buying and trying until something works! Trying to get an AppStore refund? Painful! I called AppleCare who transferred me a couple of times. Finally a rep walked me through Apples online callback request for a refund. This was not straightforward. I was called by Apple USA who cant service Canada. Apple USA then walked me through a Canadian callback request. Again, Apple USA called back. They entered an email request to Canada on my behalf and Im awaiting a reply... Well, gotta go skin a beaver to pay for my Mac.

To those who are slathering negative reviews all over this app, there is a patch for 10.8 on their support website. I bought this app this morning and am running 10.8.3. I installed the patch immediately upon downloading the app and have had no issues. It found several deleted files on an SD card.

We get told it does not work anymore and not to put negative comments on here? How about doing an update? I want my money back!!

I just tried to recover some deleted files off my old Canon G1 digital camera card and initially got no where because the program couldnt find the compact flash disk. However, after going to the developer website and downloading and installing the disk access package (to correct Mountain Lion permission issues), the program found my drive and easily recovered 200 old hiking pictures I forgot about. Very pleased with the product. Does as advertised and fully supports Mountain Lion now. Highly recommended.

I purchased the app some time ago and was able to recover files from my hard disk successfully. From a pile of files I filtered through what I needed and everything was there!

I did not find this software intuitive, and it would report errors that others such as tech tool pro could not find, and occasionally it would consume disk space without warning (presumably for recovery protection) that had me in a panic trying to turn this feature off (this happened more than once) - I did get prompt responses from support hence 2 stars - I used AppDelete to hopefully rid myself of this often surprising and puzzling application...

Deep Scan destroys file names. now i have 200 GB of music rendered use less.DO NOT USE DEEP SCAN 1ST. THE INSTRUCTIONS SHOULD SAY NOT TO USE DEEP SCAN, USE QUICK SCAN 1ST In fact the software should say first scan and the second skin-should not be easily available as it destroys data. I am sensitive to the sensibilities of people who showed me this after me. Please use extreme caution with this software as you can innocently destroy data because of shoddy software design. As it turns out the quick skin which I assumed to be weaker send a so-called deep skin because I speak English natively was the one I shouldve used. Thank you for nothing. Do not waste your money on this poorly designed software

Well, I am desperate, and I have already wasted about $150 in total trying to regain an entire 2 months of University related material. This program let me regain about half of my documents. However, it seems I cant get back .cif or .gsas files. Well, it has done more for me tan about 3 or 4 other programs so far. This is with just what I downloaded from here, not included the stuff from the website yet. Keep in mind I use OS 10.6.

after you buy this app you will have to buy another app to get it to work, bad investment dont buy it.

I am very impressed by how easy to use the app is. Furthermore, I am impressed by the extent of files it was able to find and recover and how quickly it was able to deliver the results. Definitely recommend this app if you are in a rough spot with lost files.

i previously used disk drill and after scanning it was showing file titles,so i could find what i was looking for easly but in this version it just shows them as file0001 and i couldnt find anything because of this problem.

After you make the payment you learn that it does not work with the new versions of iOs. And then they are trying to sell another version which you have to pay double amount more. Ill try to get my money back.

This crap of software cant recover anything!!! I accicentally formated my pendrive and this useless software couldnt recover anything. Had to go for PC data recovery soft to get it all back!!!

Works as advertised. I was able to recover all files which for an unknown reason to me just disappeared from my external drive. Definitely worth the 3.99€.
