This app is a total scam. I just spent $40, and when I opened it, it can’t even read any of my drives. And the worst part is the developers KNOW this. Because of a problem with the recent update to Lion, the app is currently useless to anyone who has an updated OS. Apple should not be allowing this on the app store. I’m getting my money back.

Make sure to visit their internet site and install an additional “free” package so that it works with the latest version of Mac OS. Otherwise, pleased with results.

What a joke!!!! Now that I recovery 3000 songs I have to rename each one of then!!!! because the file comes as file0001, 0002, ….. It really waste my time and money.

Might be great…who knows.

The compatibility rating here on the app store says 10.6.6 or later, but after you purcha$e the app, you get a message that says if you can’t see your mounted disks, it’s because this app doesn’t work with 10.8 or higher. It is dishonest for these people to still be selling this product as labeled. It is a fraud.

waste of money doesnt show the disks

I downloaded this program. It does not work. After installation the buyer is told that the software does not work with Maverick. So I basically downloaded a useless program which I paid way to much for. BUYER BEWARE! How do I get a refund?

When I bought this app it was kind of frustrating, however after a simple email sent to technical support they answered back really quick and gave me very clear instructions to use their product. Great app..

This is crap. It doesnt work. They even tell you once you buy the app it doesn’t work, and then beg you not to leave a bad review.

It works and thats why i bought it all i can say?

Drives don’t show up when I open the program. The program tells me that I should expect this if I’m using Mountain Lion and I shouldn’t leave a negative review. I’m using Mavercks. So, here’s my negative review. This program would be useful if it worked. It doesn’t. So, it’s useless. Don’t download. Don’t pay for. Don’t install. Don’t ever trust a piece of software that has requests not to leave negative feedback built into the interface.

I (like a moron) accidentally formatted my CF card in my Canon 5D MkIII, losing 29 GB of photos. I have IMAGE RESCUE 3 & IMAGE RESCUE 4 but neither of them could see any valid files on my card to retrieve. I am running Mac OS 10.10 (Yosemite). I downloaded DiskDrill Media Recovery and I was not too pleased when it came right up and said it would not work with OS 10.7 or greater without an update. However, the link to the update was provided, the download was free and it allowed the app to recognize and recover all of the files. I would give it 5 stars except for the little extra steps you need to do to get it running on the most modern OS X but it was the only program that actually worked!

I had just purchased this app, to restore my external hard drive, it does not work!!! I have Yosemite operating system. It keeps telling me to select a disc drive when there is no option or anything for me to select..This app does not read nor recognize my hard drive. I have contacted customer service to get my money back and havent heard anything just yet.

It helped me once, later time I try to use it for an sd card we delete and it can not load it, annoing message pop up telling you that theis version is not compatible with my IOS, this must be a very old version. After few days I contact support they helped me to get an update or patch to fix it, it worked perfect!.

I accidentally deleted my iphoto library containing over 400,000 pictures. Downloaded disk drill from the App store and freaked out because it did not read my external hard drive to recover the recently deleted files. I wanted to leave a 1-star review because I was so upset that I paid for an app that did not work (at least, I thought). The app asks that you not leave a 1-star review but to contact support. I gave it a shot. I was emailed back instructions to install a package and immediately after installation, my hard drive was recognized. The app is very user friendly and after scanning for a few hours, all of my photos were recovered. Thanks Disk Drill!

WARNING: Do Not Purchase This App, nor any app from this developer. The software purchased did not function under the advertised OSX version (10.10). According to the merchant, the software requires a modification to run in OSX 10.9 and 10.10. No software marketed towards OSX users within the Mac App Store should require a direct modification to function. The merchant does not care for customer satisfaction as he will NOT refund the purchase of a incompatible application. Never patronize a merchant that does not value customer satisfaction. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEVELOPER.
